A Farm Less Ordinary provides employment and a welcoming community to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

The Alpha Omega Veterans Urban Farm is a 1.5 acre farm located at our picturesque Ball Road facility. The project is designed to engage and meet various needs of the veterans served by Alpha Omega Veterans Services. The Urban Farm & Garden program began February 2018 with a partnership with Memphis Tilth whose mission is to “cultivate collective action for an economically sustainable, socially equitable, and environmentally sound local food system.”

Arcadia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a more equitable and sustainable local food system in the Washington, DC area.

BDA is a young, community-based farm located on 6,000+ organic acres in the Alabama Black Belt. At BDA, we seek to feed, nurture, and serve our community, as well as heal and restore our Black Belt land through regenerative agriculture.

Sustainable Berea is a group of citizens of Berea KY whose goal is to support and participate in the development of a resilient local food system.

To serve and enrich our community through a thriving farm, healthy food, hands-on training and learning experiences. To inspire the next generation by providing leadership in food justice, and supporting diverse natural and social ecosystems.

Alaska Seeds of Change employs and empowers local youth, promoting self-reliance and community involvement, to grow and sell fresh produce. We work with young people ages 16-24 to help them develop the vocational and personal skills needed to become successful adults.

We are a dedicated team of educators, growers, guides, and leaders who bring a variety of flavors to our table. Together, we use our skills and passions to enact positive change for everyone in the North Minneapolis community and beyond.

Backyard Urban Garden Farms or B.U.G. is a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Farm based in the Glendale neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah. Since 2010 we have been using conscientious and natural practices to produce a wide variety of vegetables.

Our inclusive, community-focused strategy addresses key needs for our neighbors who are often disadvantaged when it comes to distribution of key resources: food, education, and economic opportunities. We envision a vibrant, nourished Baltimore where residents have access to fresh, affordable, locally-grown food and are empowered to participate in and benefit from the revitalization of our city. Through this inclusive approach, we can establish community involvement as well as community benefit.

The Aspiring Farmer Residency is a transformational, immersive program that helps build these skills and more in a select group of young people. Residents go through a full growing season acting as the farmer, building a business, planting seeds, bringing food to markets, interacting with community; all within the safe, positive, and educational environment cultivated at Big Muddy Urban Farm.

BUGS teaches youth and adults the fundamentals of gardening through science, nutrition, and environmental-based lesson plans.
