Denver Urban Gardens is the largest network of community gardens in the country, supporting more than 180 community and school-based gardens across metro Denver. DUG focuses on reducing barriers to fresh, healthy, and organic food by providing access to space, knowledge, and resources for anyone wishing to grow their own produce. Annually, we serve more than 40,000 people through our gardens and programs.

ECO City Farms is a nonprofit urban teaching and learning farm in Prince George’s County that grows great food, farms and farmers in ways that protect, restore and sustain the natural environment and the health of local communities. Working with area children, youth and adults, ECO educates and trains the next generation of urban farmers and eaters.

Southside Blooms is a project of Chicago Eco House, a 501c3 nonprofit with a mission of using sustainability to alleviate poverty. One hundred percent of our money goes directly towards fulfilling this mission. That means every flower purchased from Southside Blooms creates jobs for at-risk youth, converts vacant lots into safe and productive community assets, and actively contributes to the health and resilience of the environment through regenerative farming practices.

We strive for more resilient, productive, and viable food systems in which farmers are supported to grow their food in ways that mitigate climate change and protect biodiversity. To that end, we support regenerative and climate-friendly agriculture in livestock and crop production. We believe that all farmers across all of BC’s agricultural sectors—livestock, poultry, dairy, vegetable, berry, nut, and fruit – can positively contribute to resilient, low-carbon, food systems in BC. Our programming offers regionally-specific support and engages with farmers across the province—from Vancouver Island to the Kootenays, the Southern Okanagan to the North.

The farm is located on 2.5 acres of land and is certified organic. We seek to build a just, beautiful food system through education, inspiration, and community development. As a working study in both social justice and in knowing the origins of the food we eat, Earthworks strives to restore our connection to the environment and community.

EAT South is an urban teaching farm that engages our community by gathering people around, educating about and growing good food. We empower people to change the way food travels from the ground to our plates.

Ekar Farm and Community Gardens is a communal urban farm, inspired by Jewish values. We work to build community, provide experiential and environmental education, and grow sustainably produced fruits and vegetables, expanding access to those in need.

We envision a Northeast abundant with diverse family farms and fertile soils, with locally and honestly produced foods and flavors at the heart of every table. Originally inspired over a decade ago by a Brown University student project, we were founded in 2004, incorporated in 2006, and received 501(c)3 nonprofit status in 2007. Today our mission is much as it was from the start — to grow a local food system that values the environment, health, and quality of life of the farmers and eaters in our region.
