Since January, I've started from not knowing anyone in Ogden, UT to knowing over 500 people and getting city sponsorship to lease about 2 acres of land to start the farm "Grow Ogden". It's a journey to be able to find a sponsor for the to-be-formed "Grow Ogden" non-profit. Each week we are getting closer to establishing a farm here. Please let me know if you are interested in knowing more about how this is unfolding.

Could this be a practical way to collectively solve problems and share successes? Please comment on this proposal. Farm Share Hubs (i.e. Contacts Networking Committees) The hubs are designed for leaders and farmers with social missions to roll up their sleeves in small groups of three to twelve. Diversity in the group would be designed by Eden Streets hub managers. In these semi-monthly get-togethers, the members who sign up share their farms and what their current challenges are. These would be monitored by breakout rooms with a peer host for every hub. Regular attendance would be a requirement of becoming a bonafide member of a hub.

How do we share more easily in significant ways? Would this concept be of interest to you? Huddles at Dusk (i.e. Business after Hours) In the forum, all stakeholders and supporters of farms with social missions would gather virtually for 90 minutes. After the first hour of mingling online in community breakout rooms, a general session would announce and welcome new members. We’d provide a few minutes for that new member to introduce themselves and their farm. We’d also acknowledge leading farm sponsors and those who help to make our events possible. While we couldn’t offer beverages and snacks literally, we could offer to the one winning the lottery of those attending a prize to their favorite restaurant gift card of $25.
