Dear Friend,

Will you help us Grow a Future to Relaunch a Life? Greg and Jade share their stories:

“I was suffering through a drug addiction…Just going in there and putting my hands in the dirt is powerful. These people care about me, they love me, and they want me to succeed. I’m tired of being isolated at home…That wasn’t fulfilling. I want to give back to the community.” — Greg, 2025 Grow Ogden graduate

Today, Greg works at Readerlink, a book distributor, and has secured his own apartment.

“During the farm day, we help the plants by giving them water and nurture, and then we have 'farmily dinner.' I feel like these are my family here. This program has helped me gain confidence, leadership, and unity…It really feels like I’ve helped my community.” — Jade, 2025 Grow Ogden graduate

Jade is pursuing phlebotomy school. As part of Grow Ogden, she helped donate produce to Catholic Community Services—coming full circle from when she received their help as a child.

Eden Streets: Relaunching Lives Through Farming

At Grow Ogden, a project of Eden Streets, we empower our neighbors facing homelessness through job training and community building. Our interns acquire skills in teamwork, time management, problem solving, empathy, service, self worth, and responsibility. In 2025, six interns completed the program, learning confidence, connection, and purpose on a natural urban farm that promotes healing.

2025 Program Impact Highlights

  • Provided job training and transitional employment for 3 men and 3 women

  • Grew and donated 1,600 pounds of produce to feed the food-insecure

  • Built community with 162 volunteers serving 504 hours over 41 farm service days

  • Provided 183 hours of court-appointed community service

  • Hosted five community events with over 330 attending

  • Strengthened community bonds built through shared work and 42 “farmily dinners”

  • Increased the farm growing area by 30%

Looking Ahead to 2026

We are partnering with Weber Recovery Center and Eos Serenity Lodge to provide weekly farm service and relaunch 16 lives in 2026 through spring and fall 16-week sessions.

The Problem We’re Solving

Homelessness is rising across our country:

  • 771,000 Americans experienced homelessness in 2024 (up 18% from the previous year)

  • 13 out of every 10,000 Utah residents are experiencing homelessness

  • 455 people in Weber County are experiencing homelessness, up 29% from 2023

Behind these numbers are men, women, and families eager for stability. Eden Streets provides a pathway from crisis to opportunity, combining structured farm work, mentorship, and support that leads to meaningful employment.

Why It Matters

Transitioning from homelessness to employment takes guidance, support, and opportunity. Grow Ogden opens doors by teaching life skills, growing food, and fostering community. Your contribution offers hope, purpose, and a chance to give back, creating lasting change that benefits the entire community.
